PORT NECHES – The Bridge City Cardinals went on the road Tuesday night and notched a nice 51-45 win over the Port Neches-Groves Indians at The Reservation.

Gabe Castillo pumped in 14 points to lead the Cardinals (5-4) while Austin Richardson chimed in with 13 points and Ray Epperly contributed 10.

The Cardinals will venture to the Central Heights Tournament Thursday through Saturday.

BEAUMONT – The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs dropped a hard-fought 50-45 decision on the road Tuesday night against the Kelly Lady Bulldogs.

Keshaunia Winbush paced the Lady Mustangs with 14 points and had five rebounds and four steals.

Marlandria Hebert put together a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Gabby Tims filled up the stat sheet with eight points, 11 rebounds, six steals and four assists while B’Jne Arvie added seven points and eight boards.

The Lady Mustangs will be in the Orangefield Tournament Thursday through Saturday.

BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals strolled past the Deweyville Lady Pirates 55-34 at Cardinal Gym Tuesday night.

Aspen Daniels paced the balanced Lady Cardinals with 10 points while Austyn Daniels tallied eight points.
