Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club located at 1950 MLK Jr. Drive in Orange will open at 8 p.m. Tuesday night for those in need of a place to stay warm. They will stop taking in people at midnight, according to Francisco Zuniga Jr.

“It is for the safety of the staff and the people staying there,” Zuniga said. “We will accept them after midnight if they are brought by the police.”

The station is being opened due to the temperatures dropping to the 20s tonight. The station is only expected to be open the one night.

“We will provide dinner and breakfast,” Zuniga said.

The Warming Station will close at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning so the club may prepare for the scheduled activities for the day.
