Robert “Bob” Dale Izer

Bob Izer, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend John Warren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Mansfield, Ohio, on March 11, 1941, he was the son of Emmett Izer and Thelma White Izer. He worked as a mechanical engineer for DuPont for 35 years, both at Washington Works in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and at Sabine River Works in Orange. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Orange for over 40 years and spent many years volunteering for the Red Cross. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling all over the country. Bob loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Thelma Izer.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol Izer; children, Dr. Kimberly Izer-Logli and husband Michael, of Denver, CO and Dr. James Izer and wife Gina, of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Sofia Izer, Zachary Izer, Nathaniel Izer, and Katherine Logli; and his brother, Emmett Izer.
