Bobcats push aside Anahuac, 56-31

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Bobcats made quick work of Anahuac Tuesday night, downing the Panthers 56-31 at Bobcat Gym.

The Bobcats got off to a hot start, outscoring the Panthers 16-7 in the first quarter and stretched their lead to 29-15 at intermission.

Orangefield then poured it on in the third period, going on a 17-4 spurt to lead comfortably 46-19 going into the final period.

Alex Catt paced the Bobcat arsenal by tallying 13 points and he added four rebounds.

Ryan Deutsch chimed in with 11 points and he also ripped down six rebounds and picked up four steals. Aven Lathrop popped for 10 points, buried two three-pointers and had four boards. Zach Dischler had eight points, had two three-pointers, grabbed a team-high seven boards and swiped four steals. Kaiden DuBose added six points, four boards and two steals.

The Bobcats will be back at home Friday when they play host to the Vidor Pirates.
