We have come to the last month of the school year and it has been a great one! Our students have accomplished a great deal. As always, they have continued to succeed in different areas.

Congratulations to West Orange – Stark High School senior Jared Dupree for winning the Regional High Jump Championship for the second consecutive year. He advances to the State Track and Field Meet which will be held this Friday in Austin. We wish him the best of luck at this prestigious event. Additionally, I would like to commend Jared for earning selection to the All-State Academic Track and Field team.

Congratulations also to the WOS High School Baseball team. The team won their first district championship in 21 years with an undefeated district record of 10 – 0. They will finish a best of three playoff series today against Diboll. Go Mustangs!

I want to also congratulate E’laziah Nickerson and Wyndie Williams. These two ladies from WOS High School represented Team Mustang well in the Orange County Finals of the Stark Reading and Declamation Contest.

This past week, students at our campuses celebrated Cinco de Mayo. Special programs were held at North Early Learning Center, WOS Elementary, and WOS Middle School. All were excellent.

Now, we are in the process of bringing the 2016-17 school year to a safe landing. This includes a number of year-end events. You are welcome and encouraged to join us.
