Bridge City lifters shine at Vidor event

VIDOR – The Bridge City Powerlifting teams found a great deal of success at the Vidor Powerlifting Meet Thursday night.

The Lady Cardinals placed second overall while the Cardinals notched third.

For the Lady Cardinals junior Shania Dies placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 510 pounds; junior Maggie Garcia placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 545 pounds; senior Eva Boudreaux placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 315 pounds; freshman Sadie Stone placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 520 pounds; freshman Jadyn Cunningham placed fifth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 425 pounds; senior Autumn Magnuson placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 710 pounds; sophomore Lacey Pender placed third  in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 625 pounds; senior Carlee Dearing placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 665 pounds; junior Kimber Ellender placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 545 pounds; and sophomore Chloe LeJeune placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 640 pounds.

For the Cardinal boys sophomoreAlex Williams placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 605 pounds; sophomore Preston Peterson placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 770 pounds; senior Tyler Tran placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,130 pounds; senior Ian Palermo placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,015 pounds; senior Tristan Bigler placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 990 pounds; senior Keagan Landry placed first in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,100 pounds; senior,Zane Trahan placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,330 pounds; senior Jamison Thomas placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1260 pounds; and senior Seth Green placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1280 pounds.

The Bridge City Powerlifting Team will lift again at the Nederland Invitational on Feb. 9.
