KIRBYVILLE — The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs fought the Diboll Lady Jacks all the way to the end Tuesday night in Class 4A Region III bidistrict volleyball playoff action but came up just short.

The Lady Mustangs, who had to defeat Hamshire-Fannett last week in a one-game playoff to determine the fourth-place spot out of District 22-4A, battled the 21-4A district champion Lady Jacks all the way before falling 24-26, 25-21, 25-10, 24-26, 15-10 at Kirbyville High School.

Ja’Tayjah Vital paced the Lady Mustangs with 24 kills while Elecia Barlow had 17.

Gabrielle Robinson set up the Lady Mustang offense extremely well, collecting a whopping 87 assists.
