A 42-year-old local man is facing drug charges following his arrest this week following a multi-agency investigation and raid, authorities announced.

Personnel from the City of Orange Narcotic Division and Pinehurst Police Department executed a search warrant at 1215 28th St. in Orange on Monday.

Police said the warrant was obtained through an investigation into Christopher Bennett, who investigators said was selling methamphetamine from his home.

Once the warrant was executed, investigators located a large amount of methamphetamine and a pistol, according to the Orange Police Department.

Police said Bennett was placed into custody for possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm.

As of Tuesday morning, Bennett was still listed on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office jail roster.
