Drive Thru Food Distribution

Orange County Disaster Rebuild and Southeast Texas Food Bank are teaming up to make a difference with a COVID-19 Emergency Response Drive Thru Food Distribution from 10 a.m. until the food is gone on Saturday, May 23 at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center located at 11475 Farm to Market Road 1442 in Orange. This is a first come, first serve event.

 

Feed Our Community – Link and Drink Give-a-Way

On Saturday May 23, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the EZ Pawn parking lot Krewe de Onyx will give brown bag lunches which include a barbecue link/chips/drink to anyone that drives through the parking lot located 1100 N 16th Orange, Texas.  This will be a drive through only, no walk ups please due to social distancing guidelines.  A family may drive up and roll down the window and drive through the designated area and pick up their bag(s) for those in the car and proceed on.

Krewe de Onyx realizes that many families in our town are affected by the current pandemic and economy and wanted to do something to help and give back to the community.  We also encourage first responders to come by and get a lunch for their hard work during this time of need.

 

Blood Drive

Exceptional Emergency Centers in Southeast Texas are teaming up with LifeShare Blood Center to host a Blood Drive on Wednesday, May 27 at Exceptional Emergency Center – Port Arthur located on highway 365. Join us anytime between 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. for your chance to help save a life. Sign-up is not required, and walk-ups are welcome. For more information, please call (409) 722-9554.

We are taking specific precautions as a response to the COVID-19 concerns. We ask that anyone who has had fever in the last 14 days wait to donate at a later date.

One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives.

 

Food Pantry

5K Ministries Food Pantry, located at 9125 Skeeter, Orange, TX 77632 at the corner of Hwy 62 and Skeeter 3 miles north of the intersection in Mauriceville, is open 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Fridays. For more information, call 409-745-7110

Orange County Radio Control Club meets each Tuesday and Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the club’s airfield located at 10623 Farm to Market Road 1442 in Orange. Guests are welcome as long as club members are present. Learn more about building and flying remote controlled airplanes with other enthusiast
