BC Chamber Banquet

The 60th Annual Bridge City Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held Monday, Feb. 3 at the Bridge City Community Center at 105 Parkside Drive in Bridge City. The event will start at 6 p.m. with a social and complimentary cocktails. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. with awards and the passing of the gravel. Member sponsored tables for 8 are $160. Individual tickets are $15. Reservation required by Jan. 24, 2020. The dinner will be catered by Tuffy’s Catering. Tuesday, Feb. 4

OC Historical Society meeting

The Orange County Historical Society will have it’s first program of the year at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in the conference room of the City of Orange Public Library. The program will be a ‘Show and Tell’ type. This is an opportunity for both members and nonmembers to talk about an article of historical significance or give an account of a historical event concerning Orange. We need participants, so come up with a subject and be prepared to make a short speech about it. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis meets every Wed. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and fire station.  The public is welcome to attend, and coffee is always served.

 

OC Parkinson’s Awareness Support group meeting

The Orange County Parkinson’s Awareness Support group will have a meeting Wednesday February 5, 2020 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be at St. Francis Catholic Church Hall at 4300 Meeks Drive in Orange. Cottage Boutique grand opening

Come join us for our Grand Opening Celebration. We will have a vendor market set up outside in addition to our shops inside The Cottage. There will be activities for the kids, lots of great shopping and free hot dogs and drinks for our first 100 guests. Churchwide Garage Sale 

Cove Baptist Church, 1005 Dupont Drive in Orange, will hold a Churchwide Garage Sale – RAIN OR SHINE – Inside Family Center from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. There will be 

clothes, toys, children’s books, children’s videos, Kitchen items, Christmas decorations, Flower arrangements, black leather-chairs, tables, Lamps, furniture, lots more. Pocket knives, etc. Frito pie and drinks will be sold
