District 2-S1 Lions in conjunction with CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth is hosting a Diabetes Roundup and Health Fair will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Outpatient Pavilion at 755 North Street in Beaumont.

November 14 is World Diabetes Day.

The health fair is open and free to everyone. This event will focus on Type 2 Diabetes, which is curable.

There will be information sessions, interactive booths and free screenings (vision screening for children; diabetic foot screenings).

There will be diabetes topics presented by local healthcare providers and information on local resources and medication access plus a Nutrition Q&A.
