LCM schools closed through Wednesday

PRESS RELEASE — This applies to all LCM campuses: LCM schools will be out Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at least, as arrangements are made for housing our students who attend the Mauriceville campuses.
Staff should report to work on Tuesday, if they are able to do so. Principals of Mauriceville campuses will let staff know where they should report.
The candlelight pep rally will not be held on Monday, but the LCM/BC volleyball game will be played at Bridge City. We will announce whether or not the Tuesday volleyball game against WOS will be played after coaches have discussed it. Coaches will determine if Friday’s game can take place and will announce that as soon as they know.
As devastating as another flood is to our LCM family and community, we are encouraged that we have been able to get into the schools to rescue as much as possible quickly, and because our facilities have not set for days in water and without air conditioning, we anticipate recovery to take less time than what it took following Harvey. Remediators are going through the buildings and we will have a better idea of how long Mauriceville campuses will be displaced after they assess damage. In the meantime, if you have plastic tubs that you would share with our staff for storage of what they are saving from classrooms, we would appreciate you bringing those to one of the campuses or calling so someone can pick them up from you.
We are praying for all who have affected by this flood and are looking forward to getting our students back in class and into a normal routine as soon as possible.
