A tragic wreck resulting in a couple losing their lives just minutes after becoming husband and wife continues to be a topic of conversation days after the event as the community continues supporting and praying for the family.

Harley Morgan, 19, and his wife, Rhiannon Boudreaux Morgan, 20, both from Vidor, were pronounced deceased on scene on Friday.

A co-worker of Lashawna Morgan, Harley’s mother, has started a GoFundMe account to help the family.

“There is no insurance or funds for Burial, Funeral, and other expenses.
The Newlyweds will be together for their funeral service as well as together in burial.
They are Childhood Sweethearts who will be together forever,” according to the GoFundMe page.

“She [Lashawna] is nowhere financially able to cover these expenses. She also regards the couple as one, not separate individuals,” Patricia Fruge said in a Facebook post for why the account was started.

At this time, the fundraiser has raised $2,000 of the $18,000 goal.

A second fundraiser is on Facebook for the funeral expenses for Rhiannon Boudreaux Morgan hosted by Katrina Woodard. In two days, it has raised $6,885 of the $15,000.

“The life insurance is not enough to cover the burial and all the additional expenses associated with this tragedy,” according to the post concerning the benefit.

The funerals for the couple will be at the same time, however, the families are paying for them separately according to a source.
