OCSOEA scholarships awarded

Orange County Sheriff’s Office Employees Association presented two scholarships to high school seniors on Thursday. The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who are the children of Sheriff’s Office employees and plan to attend college after graduation.
Morgan LaFleur, of Starks High School in Louisiana, and daughter of Cpl. Matthew LaFleur and wife Staci plans to attend Lamar State College-Orange.
She is yet undecided on her major.
“I am leaning towards Criminal Justice,” Morgan said. “But I am also considering working in the plants.”
Jacob Marlow was unable to attend the ceremony. Marlow graduated from Vidor High School and will study Nursing in college.
