Orange County Airport holds a fly-in

The Orange County Airport is holding a fly-in from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Orange County Airport at 2640 State Hwy. 87 in Orange.

The event is free and open to the public and will include a variety of aircraft.

You will be able to tour the airport facilities, see and enjoy general aviation, and learn the roles the airport and general aviation play to benefit the community.

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Gulf Coast Wing will be selling rides in a C-45.

The CAF Houston Wing will be selling rides in an AT-6.

The Young Eagles program provided by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1356 will be on site to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

They will be offering youth ages 8 – 17 a free ride in an airplane.

Parents will be able to sign their children up for rides at the sign-up table during the Fly-In. Flights will start at 2 p.m. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. Sign up as early as possible, the number of flights may be limited.
