Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting at 4 p.m. for Crossfit EOR at 501 West Front Street in Orange.

The class of ’61 Lutcher Stark HS will gather from 6 p.m. – ?? at Spanky’s on 16th Street in Orange.

1961 Class Reunion

The class of ’61 Lutcher Stark HS will gather from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Robert’s Steakhouse on Park Ave. in Pinehurst.

 

St. Mary 86th Spring Festival

A weekend of family fun at St. Mary School 86th Spring Festival from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. at 2600 Bob Hall Road in Orange. There will be delicious festival food, games, music, entertainment and opportunities to win valuable prizes. There will also be a ‘take a chance’ booth and live auction for unique gifts. St. Mary 86th Spring Festival

A weekend of family fun at St. Mary School 86th Spring Festival from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 2600 Bob Hall Road in Orange. Monday, April 29

Crochet Class

Crochet Class at 6:30 p.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, 3810 M.L.K. Jr. Drive in Orange. The class is in the Dining Room behind the church. (Left side of the building)

Please bring a skein of Sports Weight yarn and a G hook. We are working on squares to be assembled into an afghan. You may keep your squares or donate them back. Donated squares will be assembled and donated to a local charity in December.

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis meets every Wed. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and fire station.  The public is welcome to attend, and coffee is always served.  Michael Cole, 43, a freelance writer and webmaster with The Orange Leader and possible future politician, will speak on his life as a journalist, technology buff, and aspiring political ambitions.

 

Thursday, May 2

Fried Fish Fundraiser

American Legion Post 49, 108 Green Ave. in Orange, will hold a Fried Fish plate lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2. Cost is $9 a plate. The meal consists of fried fish, potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, bread, and dessert. Walk-ins are welcome and delivery is available. Call 409-886-1241 afternoon on Wednesday, May 1 and before 9 a.m. Thursday, May 2 for orders and deliveries.
