Shred-it and forget-it

Shred-it and forget-it will be held at Sabine Federal Credit Union from 9 a.m. to noon. Pinehurst residents and credit union members may participate by bringing documents needing to be destroyed to 1939 Strickland.

 

West Orange Spring Clean-Up

The City of West Orange will hold it’s annual Spring Clean-up 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Fri. April 12 and Sat. April 13.

Dumpsters will be available behind the West Orange Fire Station, 2701 Austin Ave. in West Orange.

Residents must show proof of residency and photo identification.

 

Spring Extravaganza

Community Christian School’s 14th annual Spring Extravaganza is from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 13, 2019. A family fun event with games for kids, free admission, shopping from 20-plus local vendors, barbecue lunches and concessions, and an amazing silent auction!

 

Parenting Class

Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. (Near the Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection). Lunch is provided. The requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate. Cowboy Church of OC Annual Rodeo

Cowboy Church or Orange County will host its Annual Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at T2 Arena located at 3810 Old Peveto Road in Orange. For more information call 409-893-8657

 

Monday, April 15

Crochet Class

Crochet Class at 6:30 p.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, 3810 M.L.K. Jr. Drive in Orange. The class is in the Dining Room behind the church. (Left side of the building)

Please bring a skein of Sports Weight yarn and a G hook. We are working on squares to be assembled into an afghan. You may keep your squares or donate them back. Donated squares will be assembled and donated to a local charity in December.

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis meets every Wed. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and fire station.  The public is welcome to attend, and coffee is always served. Ellen Walker Rienstra, the co-author of “The Long Shadow:  The Lutcher-Stark Lumber Dynasty,” reviews the book.
