To The Leader

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Education Foundation, Inc., is excited to announce the first ever “Legacy 5k Color Run/Walk,” on May 11.

This is a fun, family event intended to raise money to support grants provided by the Foundation for its “Grant to Educators” program that enhances the educational experience of students throughout the LCM District.

It is called the Legacy 5K because it will start and finish in Legacy Park, the wooded area surrounding the big bear next to the LCM Administration Office, 6586 FM 1130, in Orange.

Those interested can register online on the LCM Education Foundation Facebook page or pick up an application at any of the LCM campuses or the Administration Building.

Registration for adults is $30; under 12, $20 up to two per family, then each additional child, under 12, is $10 each. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Logo t-shirts will be provided for those who register by May 1.

There will be health-related vendors, games for the children, the What-a-Burger fun-filled trailer, food and much more.

Engraved bricks, which pave the walkways of Legacy Park, will be available for sale. The 4×8 brick is $35 and the 8×8 paver is $70. This is a way to honor or remember friends or family.

Sponsorships are still available, and those forms can also be viewed on the LCM Education Foundation Facebook page.
