Saturday, Feb. 16

Crisis Preparation and Sustainable Living Expo

The 9th annual Southeast Texas/Southwest Louisiana Crisis Preparation and Sustainable Living Expo from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Little Cypress Baptist Church located at 3274 Little Cypress Drive in Orange.

 

Link Sale

The Lady Bear soccer team will have their annual link sale this Saturday, February 16, from 10-2 at Superior Tire in Orange. Meals will be sold for $5 and consist of a link on a bun, chips and a drink. You may purchase a ticket from any Lady Bear soccer player or just drop by the link sale. Cormier Museum

Orangefield Cormier Museum will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

 

Black History Picnic

A picnic celebrating Black History Month will be from 12 Noon – until at D.J.’s, located at 2200 Simmons Drive in Orange. Free food and hay rides. Speakers, music, and creative dancing are scheduled. This year’s theme is Infusing Cultures. The event is free and the public is welcomed.

 

Parenting Class

Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. (Near the Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection). Lunch is provided. Requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate. Monday, Feb. 18

Blood Drive

Lutcher Theater is hosting a LifeShare blood drive from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the theater parking lot.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Public Hearing

Orange County Commissioners Court will hold a Public Hearing at 1 p.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th Street in Orange. The purpose is of renewing a Reinvestment Zone, as authorized by Chapter 312 of the Tax Code, located within Jefferson Energy Partners’ facility, 330 Old Highway 90 in Vidor.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 20

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis meets every Wed. from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and fire station.  The public is welcome to attend, and coffee is always served. Dawn Burleigh, editor of The Orange Leader newspaper, will be the guest speaker.
