Red and White Tea and Hat Show

Mount Olive Baptist Church, 106 West Park Ave. in Orange, Senior Gospel Seasoned Choir will host the 28th Annual Red/White Tea and Hat Show from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20 in the Christian Life Center. The theme this year is “A Valentine’s Cleansing.” The verse is Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

It will be an evening of great entertainment, food, fun, and fellowship. Many surprises and door prizes will be available. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted.

 

Sunday Power Hour

Do you work Sundays mornings and are unable to attend church? Would you like to sleep in late and still honor God in worship? Would you love to attend a service rich in Worship and Word? We offer “Sunday Power Hour” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Orange Church of God has a worship service specially tailored for those who serve on the 6 a.m.-2 p.m., 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. shifts along with “Anyone” who would love to attend.

No need to go home and change. This service is geared to embrace everyone to come as they are. Work attire is welcomed and encouraged.

Power Hour is a worship service that’s not about what you wear, it’s about “The Worship & The Word”

Sunday Power Hour starts Sunday at 3 p.m. at Orange Church of God, 1911 N. 16th Street in Orange.

 

Mortgage Burning Celebration

New Beginning Church invites all churches to come to celebrate our Note Burning at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at 1512 15th Street in Orange. Our guest speaker is Pastor Develous A. Bright.

January 28th (Monday): Celebrating Our Community of Faith

  • Students and staff wear Catholic Schools Week shirts/colors
  • Daily Trivia-Questions announced at Morning Assembly each day.  
  • 100th Day Celebration Presentation to Orange Christian Services
  • Open House  6:00pm-7:00pm

A welcoming program, school tour and classroom visits.  

 

January 29th (Tuesday): Celebrating Our Families and Students

  • Staff (only) wear Catholic Schools Week shirt/colors
  • Staff will serve breakfast snacks in the cafeteria for students and their parents, “Muffins for Moms” and “Donuts for Dads.”  
  • Presentation of Student Citizenship Awards during Morning Assembly
  • Recognition of all student groups/clubs during Morning Assembly  

 

January 30th (Wednesday)- Celebrating Our Nation

  • Rainbow Mass for Middle School
  • Rainbow Prayer Service in the chapel for PreK-4th

 

January 31st (Thursday)- Celebrating Vocations and the Religious in our Community

  • Staff (only) wear Catholic Schools Week shirts/colors
  • Local Priests, Deacons, Nuns, and Ministers that represent our non-Catholic students invited to lunch with students and staff.

February 1st (Friday)- Celebrating Grandparents, Alumni, Volunteers, and Staff

  • Students and staff wear Catholic Schools Week shirts/colors
  • Breakfast for staff  
  • St. Mary Catholic School Family Day-Grandparents, Alumni and Staff  
  • Student Program (10:00am)

 

Dallas Holm in Concert

First Baptist Church, 200 W. Roundbunch Road in Bridge City, will host a concert featuring Dallas Holm, 2012 Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductee, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. Free admission. A love offering will be received. For more information call 409-735-3581

 

Parenting Class

Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. (Near the Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection). Lunch is provided. The requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate.
