Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Fallon Foster of the AgriLife Group off FM 1442, Head Country Agent for Orange County, will speak to Golden K Kiwanis on upcoming events with her agents. Golden K Kiwanis meetings are held each Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Salvation Army Bulding Meeting Room, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and a fire station. The mission of Golden K Kiwanis is children.

GOCC-EDC Business Exchange

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce and Orange County Economic Development Corporation Business Exchange will be held from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. at the Shahan Event Center at Lamar State College-Orange. Gain access to the enormous buying power of schools, cities, counties, and non-profit organizations. For GOACC members it is free and for non-members it is $10. Altar Society Gift Shop and Luncheon

You are cordially invited to the Altar Society Gift Shop and Luncheon at Saint Mary Catholic Church Parish Hall on 912 West Cherry in Orange from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be homemade baked and canned goods, crafts, Christmas gifts, frozen entrees, jewelry, silent auction including gift baskets, team logo teddy bears and more. There will be a smoked chicken luncheon for $8 (half a chicken, potato salad, beans, dessert and tea) that will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Meal tickets can be purchased at the door. Take-out is available and containers are furnished.

Saturday, Nov. 17

Christmas Bazaar

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 945 West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City, will hold a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. As well as several vendors available, the church is selling Durham Ellis Pecan Products, frozen gumbo, Gumbo Meal, Baked items, and raffle tickets for a Christmas Quilt.

 

Blue Santa Annual Tricycle Races

American Legion Post #49, 108 Green Ave. in Orange, will host the Annual Blue Santa Tricycle Races on Saturday. Registration is from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. Races start at 1 p.m. Each team buys a tricycle to donate to Blue Santa. Three people per team. There is a $5 Drivers Fee. Tricycles for racing will be furnished by American Legion. Non-perishable food items donated to watch the races and donated to Orange Christian Services. Blue Santa Drop Boxes will be available on site. All donations accepted. Come join us for a day of fun where adults act like kids.
