Rain has not slowed down since the Lions Clubs have tried to set up the rides for the annual Lions Carnival.

According to Southern Region Climate Center, the area saw 15.92-inches of rain during September. One date was missing in the data, making the number approximate. It also showed there were 15-20 rain days in September, which did not allow for the grounds to dry before more rain fell.

Since August 1, 2018, the area has seen approximately 24-inches of rain.

The Ferris wheel and other rides wait on the grounds at Lions Den Park for the weather to cooperate so the Lions can set up.

Alas, the troops gathered together Monday evening and opted to change the dates for this year’s carnival, again.

So change the calendar and save these new dates, opening at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7-10 and Nov. 14-17.

The carnival will be held at the Lion’s Den located at 1802 Main Street in Orange.
