To The Leader

Do you have a secret desire to write and questions on how to do that? We have the answer to all your questions, and you are welcome to join this free Guild.

The OCCWG will be held at the City of Orange Neighborhood Facility Community Room, located at 303 N. 8th Street, Orange, Texas, for the year of 2018. All our meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month, and our first meeting will be September 11th, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The first meeting will be in the conference room at the same address, but the rest of the year we will be in the Neighborhood Facility room.

We have a great line up in 2018/2019 for Guild Members. In our meeting this Fall, we will be writing a joint short-story, murder-mystery. “Publishers Weekly” offers contest for short stories, and we will submit our piece. This will give each member valuable insight on what Publishers are looking for, how to contact Publishers and submit manuscripts, short stories, etc.

We also have local Authors that will share their experiences on how they approached the many avenues of publishing. The Guild welcomes you to come and join.

Directions: Take Green Ave to 8th street and turn right. Approx. three blocks down on the right-hand side is the City of Orange Building, 303 N. 8th Street, Downtown Orange, right before the Orange Police Dept.

Park up front, go in the double glass doors; someone will be there to greet you. You can call 409 988-2588 or email kstevens@gt.rr.com for questions.
