Service of Commemoration, Resilience, Restoration and Hope

On August 26 at 10a.m. First Presbyterian Church will have a Service of Commemoration, Resilience, Restoration and Hope (after Harvey).  They will worship and give thanks to God for his mighty hand in carrying them through the last year.  There will be recorded videos, photographs, and live testimonies of people telling their Harvey stories and how God carried them through the storm and its aftermath.

 

Movie and Ice Cream Soda

MacArthur Baptist Church invites all school age children to a Movie and Ice Cream Soda from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25. The church is located at 3600 Nightingale Street in Orange.

 

Roman Catholic convert classes

St. Helen Catholic Church, 8105 FM 1442 in Orange, is offering Roman Catholic convert classes starting Tuesday Aug 28, and every Tuesday until Easter from 7 p.m. -8:30 p.m.  If you are a fallen away Catholic or interested in Catholicism, you are welcomed to these sessions.  These classes are free of charge.

 

Reopening and Dedication Service

New Beginnings Church invites the public to come out and celebrate with us at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 for the reopening and dedication of our church. We have a dynamic speaker Pastor Rickey Guillory and El Bethel Church Family.

 

StoweGood Concert

Stowe Daily and Karen Taylor Good will be live in concert at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9 at Wesley United Methodist Church located at 401 North 37th Street in Orange. Tickets are $20. This is the national debut of a CASA song commissioned by Orange CASA volunteer Deana Laughlin.

 

Revival

Come out and be bless. We’re inviting the public to our revival “Lord show us your glory.” Speaker Bishop Gerald Gunns and Back to God. The revival will be at 7 p.m. Wed., Sept 12 and 7 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 13 at New Beginning Church Outreach Ministry located at 1512 15th Street in Orange.

 

Special concert

The ministry of multi-award-winning entertainer Mark Lowry will visit Trinity Baptist Church with his night of music and comedy at 1800 Country Club Road in Lake Charles, La. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $20-30 with VIP for $45. The VIP ticket include meet and greet at 5:15 p.m. For more information, call 337-480-1555. Soup Kitchen and Bread of Heaven Program

The Mount Sinai Baptist Church Congregation will open its Soup Kitchen and Bread of Heaven Program at 11:30 a.m. A nourishing hot meal and Words of Encouragement is being offered on that day. All are invited to participate. For more details, one may contact the office of the church at 886-2089.

 

Parenting Class

Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. Lunch is provided. Requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate. Anger Management Classes

Wells of Agape is holding Anger Management Classes from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange (near State Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection) Requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. Feeding the Hungry

Mt. Olive Baptist Church is Feeding the Hungry at 12 Noon gathering with prayer every Thursday at the Rosa Watson Caring Kitchen located at 106 West Park Ave. in Orange. Rev. Ronnie Crockett, pastor. For more information call 886-2508

1st Presbyterian Church located at 902 Green Ave. in Orange offers lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
