Vidor High School class of 2005 graduate and Mighty Pirate Marching Band alum Justin Pierce  gave a masterclass to  the Vidor High School and Vidor Junior High School saxophone students. The students were given an opportunity to learn saxophone fundamentals and all region music tips, as well try new reeds and other saxophone equipment. Mr. Pierce currently serves as Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music at Oklahoma Baptist University and is a Vandoren Regional Artist. Director of Fine Arts Kara Phillips says she and the other staff and band students were so excited to have him return to Vidor ISD and share his expertise.
