Pastor Dale Lee, of Cowboy Church on Farm to Market Road 1078 in Orange, greeted “Mr. Black Rodeo” Cleo Hearn with a warm welcome and a firm handshake Saturday at the Stark Museum of Art’s new “Cowboys of Color” exhibit featuring photography of African American rodeo legends by photographer Don Russell. Lee invited Cleo and the other cowboy legends featured in the exhibit to the Cowboy Church’s Sunday service.
