American Association of University Women (AAUW) awards two scholarships to local students each year. The postponement of Art in the Park did not delay the organization’s plans.

AAUW holds a Book Sale during the annual event and is the main fundraising for the two scholarships.

This year, the awards were from funds raised in 2017.

West Orange – Stark graduate Jassalyn McClelland and Little Cypress Mauriceville High School graduate Jacie Miller each received a $1,000 scholarship from AAUW.

This year, AAUW raised $1,538.60 during the book sale. The non-profit group is hoping for more donations over the next few days.

Memberships in AAUW are available for those with two-year or four-year degrees for $65 per year.  Friend memberships for those without a degree are offered for $25 per year.
