A few weeks ago the Alzheimer’s Association asked that Congressman Brian Babin (R-TX36) consider co-sponsoring a piece of legislation immensely important to the country and to the constituents of the 36^th Congressional District.

This legislation, the Build Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure Act (H.R. 4256) would, among other things, reframe Alzheimer’s disease from an “old persons” disease to what it really is – a Public Health Crisis.

This bill will also establish Alzheimer’s Centers of Excellence around the country, provide funding to local health departments and increase the collection of data. All extremely important to the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Congressman Babin has recognized the need for this important Alzheimer’s legislation. He has decided to co-sponsor the BOLD Act (H.R. 4256) in an effort to provide better Alzheimer’s interventions to the constituents of the 36^th Congressional District.

The Alzheimer’s Association would like to thank Congressman Babin for his continued support regarding Alzheimer’s legislation and policy and we look forward to working with him and his staff in the future.
