2018 HLSR Livestock Judging Contest

This past Monday, the Orange County 4-H Livestock Judging Team competed in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Livestock Judging Competition. Orange County 4-H brought two skilled teams.

The Junior team placed 78th out of 145 teams. This team consisted of Caleb Pyatt, Jaydon Miller, Rebecca Wright, and Walker Swindell. Individually placings are as follows: Caleb Pyatt placed 87th out of 464. Jaydon Miller placed 127th out of 464. Rebecca Wright placed 426th out of 464. Walked Swindell placed 455th out of 464.

The Senior team placed 116th out of 320 teams. This team consisted of Dylan Pyatt, Tyler Taylor, Tara Taylor, and Gwyneth Cobb. Individual placings are as follows: Dylan Pyatt placed 363rd out of 1,005. Tyler Taylor placed 428th out of 1,005. Tara Taylor placed 575th out of 1,005. Gwyneth Cobb placed 783rd out of 1,005.

This competition was intense and point differences in team rankings are incremental at most. They Orange County 4-H Livestock Judging Team looks forward to their next endeavor in Beaumont at the South Texas State Fair on the 31st of March.
