Over 30 Southeast Texas & Louisiana Employers Expected At LIT Job Fair

BEAUMONT — About 150 students from Lamar Institute of Technology, Lamar University and Lamar State Colleges-Orange & Port Arthur who are looking for work are expected to take advantage of LIT’s annual Job Fair on Thurs., March 8, from 9am to 2pm.

The event will be held in the Paul & Connie Szuch Multi-Purpose Building on the LIT campus, and will host 33 area employers. The participating companies will be accepting resumes and interviewing qualified candidates in the fields of Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Education, Financial, Health, Hospitality, Maintenance, Nonprofit, Technical, Transportation, Sales and many more.

Companies attending include: Advanced Staffing, Air Comfort, BASF, Beaumont Independent School District (BISD) Transportation Department, The Brock Group, Calcasieu Parish, LA, Sheriff’s Office, Christus Health, The City of Beaumont Public Health- Emergency Medical Services, ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery, FESCO, Ltd., The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Gulf Copper & Manufacturing Corp., H & R Block, Huntsman, Legacy Community Health, MCM Elegante’ Hotel and Conference Center, The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, MET, Inc.-Head Start/Early Head Start, Mustang Cat, Oxbow Calcining, South East Texas Food Bank, South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) TOP Program, Texas Department of Criminal Justice- Stiles Unit, Texas Home Health Hospice, Texas Total Care Home Health & Hospice, Texas Workforce Solutions, Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc., Travis County Sheriff’s Office, TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Valero, Veolia, WestRock and Zachry Group.
