Bridge City ISD announced on Friday, students will not have to make up the two days missed due to the winter weather on Jan. 16 -17, 2018.

“My first priority is always student and staff safety,” Superintendent Todd Litzen wrote in a letter to parents and staff. “As secondary factors, I consider the importance of having children in school to learn and grow.”

Under state law, schools are required to have 75,600 minutes of instruction each year.

Minutes were built into the 2017-2018 school year, allowing students to not makeup the two snow days.
