Simple and fun is a platter of Egg in a Hole, an oldie but goodie favorite.

Cooking Supplies:

Griddle or skillet

Spatula

Small glass to cut hole

Cooking Spray

Ingredients:

8 eggs

8 slices bread, any

(or count 2 per guest)

Optional:

Jelly or jam

Margarine or butter

Bacon or sausage

Spray griddle or pan with cooking spray, and preheat on low heat.  Lightly butter one side of bread of choice on cutting board.  Turn glass upside down, and press down in center of bread to make a circle. Remove circle and set aside or toss. Then, place buttered bread with hole on grilling surface. Next, crack an egg in the place where hole cut.

Grill until your desired texture of egg and bread.  Flip during cooking.  When bread is golden, Egg in a Hole is done.  Serve with condiments of jelly, jam, butter, or margarine.  Other wise accompaniments might be bacon or sausage.  Egg in a Hole is ready to eat.
