August 11 – Fish Camp

August 15 – OHS Class Schedules & Parking Permits

All Students must have their registration packet completed prior to class schedule pick up. Student class schedules and parking permits will be available for pick up at the High School at the following times:

Seniors……………… 10 AM – 11 AM
Juniors ……………..  11 AM – 12 PM

Sophomores……..  1 PM –   2 PM
Freshman………….  2 PM –   3 PM

Registration Procedures for 2017 – 18

For the 2017-18 school year, OISD will transition to an online registration for all returning students. Online registration will begin on August 10th. All current students must have a parent/guardian complete this online registration prior to the student receiving their teacher assignment or schedule. Parents must have a TxConnect Parent Portal account to complete the registration.

Directions for the Parent Portal account are located on the OISD website. Computer labs will be made available on select dates for those without access to a computer or handheld device. Those dates and times will be posted on the district’s website and social media sites. Traditional registration forms will be required for all student registrations not completed online.

Registration for students new to OISD will take place on individual campuses during the next two weeks. The following documents are required for registering new students:   proof of residency (most recent water, electric or gas bill), records from previous school (preferably most recent report card), immunization records, birth certificate and/or social security card, and copy of a parent/guardian’s valid driver’s license.

Registration for new students is scheduled at all three campuses during these dates and times:  

Thursday, August 3 – Friday, August 4: 8AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM

Monday, August 7 – Friday, August 11: 8AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM

Monday, August 14 – Wednesday, August 16: 8AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM

Thursday, August 17: 1PM-3PM

Friday, August 18: 8AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM

Monday, August 21 – Friday, August 25: 8AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM

OISD Running Start/Meet the Teacher (New for 2017-18)

 Orangefield ISD will host a “Running Start” for all campuses, to serve as a student registration/orientation and teacher meet and greet prior to the first day of school.

 Running Starts have been scheduled as follows:

 Orangefield High School –               Wednesday, August 16th, between the hours of 4 PM – 6 PM.

 Orangefield Junior High –                Thursday, August 24th, between the hours of 2 PM – 6 PM.

Orangefield Elementary –               Thursday, August 24th, between the hours of 2 PM – 6 PM.

OJH and OES students will receive class schedules at their Running Start, once all registration procedures have been completed and may meet their teachers at that time.

Running Start at OHS will serve as a traditional teacher meet and greet only, unless all registration forms have not been completed.

Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to deposit money in their students’ lunch accounts on all three campuses on these dates. Spirit and other school items will be available for purchase as well.

Orange and White Scrimmage – August 11th/Meet the Bobcats – August 25

 The Orange and White kickoff scrimmage is scheduled for Friday, August 11th at 6 PM at F. L. McClain Stadium. Meet the Bobcats is scheduled for Friday, August 25th at 6 PM at the Orangefield High School new gymnasium. All parents, guardians, students, and community members are invited to attend this event to meet and support our 2017 Bobcats. Concessions and spirit items will be available for purchase on Aug. 11th.

Football Tickets

Football tickets are on sale until August 28th for prior season ticket holders. Season tickets are available for purchase for new ticket holders from August 2nd-11th, 8 AM – 11 AM and 1 PM – 3 PM.
