Vidor students taken to hospital for over-the-counter cold medication

PRESS RELEASE — An incident occurred on the Vidor Junior High campus this morning, sending seve​ral ​students to an area hospital.  Eighth grade female students brought ​an over-the-counter cold medication​ to school​, which they shared​ with other female students.

Ambulances were called to VJHS when students went to the nurse with vomiting.  Parents were contacted.  S​even​ students were taken to the hospital.​

​The matter was handled according to appropriate school guidelines.  Vidor ISD will further investigate the situation to ensure the continued safety of our students. ​
