Special to The Leader

Vidor Rotary Club will host their second Cajun Music Night this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Benoit’s on Highway 12. For only $10, patrons get a good bowl of gumbo and all the fixings from James Brown’s Gumbo House, plus great music and dancing. There will be a big silent auction to support the programs of Vidor Rotary Club, including the green bus Read and Feed program, taking books and meals to Vidor children of all ages.

The silent auction includes an 80 quart crawfish cooker and accessories, a half-price rental of Benoit’s, casino trips, meals out, handcrafted items, flags, a quilt, jewelry, a birdhouse from Friedeck’s, a wreath from J Keen’s Florist, and much much more. In addition, there will be cupcakes for sale, with many of them having prize numbers so guests can win fun things.

There is a new addition this year…. a wine pull. “Guests purchase a decorated cork for $25, and it’s numbered. The number corresponds to a bottle of wine that’s out of sight, so you won’t know what you’re getting until you match up your number to the bottle,” says Rotary President Tim Andrews. “It’s a fun twist for this year, and we hope folks will participate.”

To purchase tickets, call 409-651-8390 or get on Vidor Rotary Club’s Facebook page. You can even reserve a table so you can sit with all your friends.
