Kayla Swiney and Addyson Dryden enjoying Dot Day at Little Cypress-Mauriceville Intermediate. Brenda Jones’ fourth grade classes recently participated in International Dot Day. This is a global celebration of creativity.  Ms. Jones’ students were encouraged to dress in dots for the day and they participated in Dot Day activities, including decimal dot math and using the app Quiver to decorate a coloring page and watch it come to life. The students also read and discussed the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds, which the celebration is based upon.  During their studies, they used Skype to interact with classrooms from Southern California and Indiana to discuss the activities those classes participated in for the day.
