Special to The Leader
ORANGE — Flutter in to visit and interact with live insects in the Butterfly House. The last chance to be engaged with these tiny creatures is June 25, 2016.
View them in a special display, and meet and greet with butterflies of all shapes and sizes. Observe over 350 butterflies in the beautiful greenhouse. Learn about different species of butterflies and try to identify them all.
Search for the Malachite that has large wings that are black and lime green or brown and olive green. They feed on flower nectar and rotting fruit. Find the most common North American butterfly, the Monarch. It has wings that are tawny-orange and black veins with small white spots.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy the interaction with the small insects. Capture the beauty from more than 20 species of butterflies in the greenhouse.
Bring the entire family for a fun day at Shangri La Gardens and view David Rogers’ Big Bugs. The last day to view all twelve bugs is June 25, 2016.
