Martha June Hein

June Hein, 72, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Orange, TX, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1943 in Orange, TX to Dyer and Karen (Burleigh) Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Trisha Phelps.
Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons, Les Clendenen and his wife Allison, Trey Fellman, and John Potter and his wife Bridget her sisters, Dyanne Parrish of Seymore, TN and Kathryn Robicheaux and husband Andrew of Groves, TX, two grandchildren, Brantley Potter and Jace Fellman, and one aunt, Skipper Free.
June graduated from Little Cypress High School where she played trumpet in the marching band. She received her nursing degree from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for Doctor’s Hospital in Groves, TX. She loved riding horses and loved all animals. She was a voracious reader and writer of poetry and loved music.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 12:00 pm until service. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial will follow the service at Orange Grove Cemetery in Lake Charles.
The family would like to thank the staff of Johnson Nursing Home of Baton Rouge for the loving care they gave June. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
