St. Mary Catholic School wins Lower Sabine Neches Soil and Water Conservation District

St. Mary Catholic School students won the Lower Sabine Neches Soil and Water Conservation District of Orange County for their Essay and Art Contest on Environment Conservation. Students wrote essays in art class and three were selected to represent Orange County in Jacksonville, Texas at the regional competition. There were several levels of judging and one student advanced through all levels which included essays from 60-70 counties in region 4. Advancing to the state level and who will be attending the banquet in Jacksonville is Audrey Johnson. Audrey will be profiled along with Mr. Mile Hoke who also won conservationist in region 4. Other students who will be recognized for their essays in Jacksonville are Colton Claybar – 1st-3rd grade division, Jessica Hughes – 4th-5th division, Thomas Abshire-5th grade poster; Clay Darby-1st grade poster.
