A wreck at approximately 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 10, near the 16th Street exit, in Orange, left at least one man with serious injuries.

Initial reports indicated that the driver of a 2006 Cadillac passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10, lost control and struck a concrete barrier.

After further investigation, DPS Troopers concluded that the driver of the Cadillac rear-ended the trailer portion of a moving truck tractor semi-trailer.  After colliding with the 18-wheeler, the driver lost control and struck a concrete barrier.

The driver of the Cadillac, Otis Houston, 65, of Aurora Colorado, was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.  Houston has since been transferred to a hospital in Houston, Texas.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 were closed for approximately two hours, but have since reopened.

Orange Police Department assisted on the scene.

At this time, Troopers have not located the 18-wheeler that was involved in this crash.  DPS is asking anyone with information in regards to this crash to contact the Orange DPS Office at (409) 883-0274.
