Obituary for George “Randy” Jones

Memorial services for George “Randy” Jones, 60, of Tyler, will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Cable officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service at 1:00 PM.

Mr. Jones passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Tyler.

He was born September 14, 1957 in Kountze to George Jack and Rosalie Himmelreich Jones.

Randy was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin and a RN degree from Lamar University. He was a Registered Nurse at Rusk State Hospital for 18 years. Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved being outdoors.

Randy was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Cheyenne Jones of Tyler; mother, Rosalie H. Jones of Tyler formerly of Orange, TX; grandchildren, Sydney and Robbie Garcia; brother, Eric Jones and wife Stacey of Frisco; nephew, Ryan Jones; niece, Elizabeth Jones; cousins, Vaughn McClain and Cheryl Bradford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Stefler, Kevin Malone, Joey Guillot, and Gregg Dugdale.
