Boat Races are Back

Travis Thompson pulls his boat up to the loading ramp as spectactors and race personnel watch the practice laps on Friday afternoon. The “Showdown on the Sabine” Tunnel Boat Races will take place from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20, on the Sabine River at the City of Orange Boat Ramp off Simmons Drive. The event is free and open to the public. Vendors and children’s activities on site as well. No pets, no coolers allowed. Visit www.orangetexas.org for more information.
