Mr. John Henry Gray

The Celebration of Life for Mr. John Henry (Meatball) Gray, 67, of Orange, will be Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at 10am at Starlight Church of God In Christ.

Visitation will be from 9 until 10am.

Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

He passed away Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.

John Henry Gray, known by all as “Meatball”, was born June 14th, 1951 in Orange, TX to Mr. Vernon Gray and Mrs. Mary (Abram) Gray.

A 1971 graduate of Stark High School, he retired from the Stark Foundation after 31 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gray of Orange, 7 sons, John Gray, Jr. (Steven Cady), William Gray, Larry Nelson (Crystal), Isaac Nelson, Michael Nelson, Curtis Nelson, and DaJewel Nelson, all of Orange, 2 daughters, Amanda Gray of Orange and Dycleshia Nelson of Cheek, TX, his mother, Mary Gray of Orange, 2 brothers, Michael Gray and Vernon Wayne Grant, both of Orange, 3 sisters, Gloria Jean Harmon and Bonnie Coleman (Sylvester) , both of Orange, and Lynnette Verna Graham (Jimmy) of Houston, TX, 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
