JOSEPH GIARRATANO

Joseph Giarratano, 73, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on August 9, 1946, to Mary Blanda Giarratano and Anthony Giarratano, in Orange. Joe was an avid chess player in his spare time. He was also known for organizing the St. Mary Catholic School class reunions, where they embarked on cruises.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Giarratano; daughter, Valera Giarratano of Austin; son, Anthony Giarratano and his wife, Bethany, of Huntsville; and grandson, Jovani Cioffi.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Frank Giarratano and Bernard Giarratano.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, St. Mary Cemetery, Orange, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
