Eddie “Ed” Gary McCorvy

Eddie “Ed” Gary McCorvy, 78, of Nederland, died Sunday, June 2, 2019, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born August 28, 1940, in Port Arthur, to Leola Cravey McCorvy and Eddie Lee McCorvy.

Ed was a member of the Texas Association of Financial and Tax Specialists. He was a bookkeeper and a tax preparer for fifty-four years. In his early years, he worked at Merchants Bank in data processing. He really enjoyed spending his spare time at the casino and in his younger years he was an excellent bowler.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley McCorvy; sons, Michael McCorvy and Patrick McCorvy and his wife, Cheri; and grandchildren, Kendall, Mason, Kade, Kenzie, and Kyle McCorvy, all of Nederland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leola and Eddie McCorvy; and brother, Paul McCorvy.

A gathering of Mr. McCorvy’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
