Marel James “M. J.” Grant

Marel James “M. J.” Grant of Crockett, Texas formerly of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2017 in Crockett, Texas.   Born in Kelly, Louisiana on September 24, 1918, he was the son of Amos Duncan and Martha Jane Grant. He was retired from Neches Butane.  He enjoyed gardening and traveling after retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Aline Grant and his second wife Rosalie Grant, his sister and brother-in-law, Doizer and Ora Harris, and Grandson Jeremy Todd Grant.
He is survived by son, Jimmy and Becky Grant of Center, Texas; Grandchildren: Danny Grant of Houston, Texas; Jamey Grant of Mauriceville, Texas; Megan Grant Sample of Center, Texas and Great Grandchildren: Rachel Grant, Sarah Grant, Kaylee Grant, Blake Grant, Bryanna Sample, Braelyn McCaffrey, and Bronson Sample.
Graveside services for Marel James “M. J.” Grant will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 am at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas.  Online condolences may be made at www.callawayallee.com
