Allen P. Mott Sr.

A celebration of Allen P. Mott, Sr.’s life, age 86, of Orange, will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, with burial to follow in Brookeland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Allen died November 19 in Pasadena, TX. He was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Airforce during WWII. A lifetime resident of Orange, he owned a service station for over 40 years in Orange and was a member of the Masons.

Allen is survived by his sons, Allen P. Mott, Jr of Willis, TX, Benny Van Arsdale and Alvin Van Arsdale, both of Orange, TX; daughters, Virginia Langley of Houston, TX, Marie LaFleur and Bertha Van Arsdale both of Kinder, LA; brother, Marvin Mott of Dallas; as well as 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Hoarse & Ruby Mott McCullough; wife of 57 years, Helen Mott; sons, Joseph Van Arsdale and Johnny Van Arsdale; daughter, Mary Wennestorm; brothers, J.P. Mott and Arthur Mott; sister, Doris Hamilton; and grandson, Michael Van Arsdale.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
