Albert Lorcey Leleux

Albert Lorcey Leleux, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Gueydan, Louisiana, on August 18, 1926, he was the son of Albert Leleux and Anna (Guidry) Leleux. Albert proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and went on to work as a Party Chief/ Surveyor for Orange County. He grew up in West Orange and loved to visit with people and tell stories about the past. Albert liked to spend his free time on the water fishing. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anna; his loving wife, Margaret Leleux; daughter, Rebecca Wyatt; sisters, Estella Guidroz, Lavinia Bienvenue, Anabelle Theodeaux, and Mary Mazie Prejean; and his brothers, Theodore Leleaux, John Galvie Leleux, and Clyde Leleux.

Albert is survived by his nephews, Max Leleaux, of West Orange, Charles Leleaux, of Shreveport, LA, Harley Bryce Prejean, of West Orange, and John Carroll Prejean, of Pinehurst; niece, Stacie Gene Longron, of Deweyville; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Prejean, Teddy Leleux, Joe Leyser, Michael Lotsey, Darrin Bigler, and Shane Leleux.

Mr. Leleux’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his neighbor and friend, Joe Leyser and Lauren Richardson for taking such great care of him.
