Flexible Education Program (FEP) Phase II

Texas Governor Greg Abbott held a press conference Tuesday, March 31, 2020. By executive order the Governor has closed school facilities through Friday, May 1, 2020. This will change our previous return date of Monday, April 13, 2020, to Monday, May 4, 2020 (new expected return date).

Our district will begin planning for this new expected return date and provide information to our community, faculty, and staff in UPDATE (5) with an FEP Plan Phase III in the coming days.

FEP Plan Assignment Dispersal

Students Using Technology (preferred method)

Online lessons will be updated through Google Classroom.

 

Students Not Using Technology (only one day pick-up)

On Friday, April 3, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. all three OISD campuses will disperse nine days of assignments. ***These assignments will be for the weeks April 6th and April 13th.

ALSO, ALL COMPLETED PAPER-BASED ASSIGNMENTS MAY BE TURNED IN AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS DURING THESE TIMES IF NOT ALREADY SUBMITTED TO YOUR GOOGLE CLASSROOM.

Assignment Pick-up Locations

Pre-Kindergarten – 5th Grade:

Pick-up location- Elementary Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up at the eastside entrance near the teacher parking and student drop-off and pick-up area.

6th Grade – 8th Grade:

Pick-up location- Junior High Southside Entrance/Exit- Assignments will be picked up at the southside entrance on the football stadium side.

9th Grade – 12th Grade:

Pick-up location- High School Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up on the northside of the campus at the back of the school by the cafeteria. You will need to enter from the museum/new gym side and drive behind the school to access the assignment pick-up location. You will exit from the same entrance location. (You will

not be able to exit out through the fieldhouse parking lot.)

Child Nutrition Meal Service

Our district will not serve meals on Good Friday, April 10, 2020.

High School Athletic and Junior High and High School Band Equipment Pick-up

On Friday, April 3, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., parents and students may come to the pick-up locations listed below for their band instruments or athletic equipment.

Junior High and High School Band Halls for those respective band students. Boys’ Athletics High School Fieldhouse Girls’ Athletics New High School Gym
