Lady Bobcats sink Hardin in 22-3A opener

HARDIN- The defending District 22-4A champion Orangefield Lady Bobcats opened defense of their title Tuesday night with a 68-43 victory over the Hardin Lady Hornets on the road at Hornets Gym.

The Lady Bobcats went on a 24-7 tear in the first quarter and controlled the game the rest of the way.

Jacey Bourque led four Lady Bobcats in double figures by pouring in 17 points and grabbing four rebounds.

Madison Greenway filtered in 12 points. Joli Ponfick filled up the stat sheet with 11 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals. Faith Fregia notched 10 points and four assists. Harleigh Rawls posted six points and four boards while Stormi Lorenzo had five points, a team-high nine rebounds and three steals and Kenadie Dubois added seven points and four steals.

The Lady Bobcats will be hosting the Tennison Tournament Thursday through Saturday at Orangefield High School.
